The mission of Child Safety Day is to promote the physical, emotional and social safety of children. Child Safety Day was created in 2007 with the help of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Each year on the second Saturday of October, Child Safety Day hosts a FREE and family fun community event. Child Safety Day is also a provider of certified police training.

POLICE TRAINING-The 21st Century series:
More than 50 MO-IL Police Departments participated in Child Safety Day's 21st Century Policing: What Works conference in January 2016. LAPD Deputy Chief William Murphy, LAPD Captain Martin Baeza, Saint Louis University Department of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Vice President James Moran and Former Cincinnati Police Chief Jeffrey Blackwell presented the benefits of building strong Community Policing programs. "We discussed a lot of what we learned at our Neighborhood Watch meeting. Awesome. Thank you" St. Ann Police Department. "Thank you for all that you do" Crestwood Police Department. "We now have some solid ideas on developing community/youth/engagement" Kansas City Police Department. "The community service officer and I have submitted a proposal based on what we learned from Chief Blackwell" Carbondale, IL Police Department.
